About the Role:
As the Chief Data Officer, you will be at the forefront of our enterprise-wide data strategy, overseeing crucial functions such as Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Science. Our current data setup leverages the Microsoft tech stack, operating within a hybrid environment of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and Implement Data Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that maximizes the value of data to drive business outcomes.
- Promote Data-Driven Decision Making: Provide knowledge and support to various departments, clearly communicate complex data concepts and actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate with business leaders to leverage data and drive business outcomes.
- Ensure Data Quality and Security: Ensure data is accurate, accessible, secure, and compliant with external regulations and internal guidelines.
- Drive Business Value: Promote the use of advanced analytics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence models, to proactively drive business value.
- Lead and Grow Data Team: Lead, grow and nurture a team of data engineers, analysts & scientists who are currently working with tools such as MSSQL server, Azure Data Lake, Data Bricks, Synapse, Power BI, etc.
About You:
- Business Acumen: You have a great business acumen ensuring our data is leveraged to deliver business value.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to engage with senior management and cross-departmental teams, articulating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated track record as a Chief Data Officer or similar senior data leadership role.
- Change Management: Significant work experience in driving change and innovation across the organization.
- Data Management Experience: 15+ years of experience in data management, data governance and data analytics.
- Data Security and Compliance: You have a deep understanding of data security, privacy, compliance and data protection regulations.
- Strategic Thinking: A strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to data management and big data strategies.
