Key Responsibilities
- Management of material obsolescence and assistance in executing REACH compliance initiatives.
- Conducting preliminary studies, development, and validation of organic materials and associated processes.
- Providing support for design, structural integrity, production, and maintenance concerning organic materials and processes.
- Drafting material specifications and manufacturing guidelines.
- Identifying and implementing innovative solutions and research initiatives.
- Addressing production discrepancies, quality assessments, and incidents related to flight operations.
- Recognizing and addressing risks, opportunities for enhancement, and cost-saving measures.
- Overseeing testing campaigns, compiling test reports, and managing related documentation.
- Supporting and managing material obsolescence issues.
- Facilitating new operational methodologies as part of the ongoing digital transformation within the Airbus Group.
Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in engineering.
- Proficient knowledge of organic materials and relevant testing methodologies in aerospace, particularly polymers.
- Experience in data analysis from DSC, TGA, TMA, FTIR, and other physicochemical assessments.
- Familiarity with the poly reactions of resins and adhesives, as well as the consolidation of thermoplastic materials.
IT Skills
- Proficient in MS Office with specialized knowledge.
Language Proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in German.
- Business fluency in English.
- Knowledge of French is an advantage.
