Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Public Affairs Europe to join our team in Berlin/Munich. This role will report directly to the Head of Public Affairs Europe and will be responsible for managing and leading all activities related to Chinese stakeholders, including governmental delegations, chambers of commerce, trade associations, and market development and public policy functions for Europe and China.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the company's interests and engage with government officials.
- Provide counsel and advice to executives on public policy and governmental matters, including pending legislation and regulations.
- Develop and lead the company's public policy strategy and agenda in the region, prioritizing actions and resources.
- Facilitate project management and hands-on implementation of public affairs engagements, including coordination of external consultants.
- Participate in trade organizations, Chinese chamber of commerce, non-governmental organizations, and strategic industry groups.
- Prepare and conduct external meetings, including delegation visits, event organization, and management presentations.
- Develop education programs in partnership with universities, government agencies, and key opinion leaders in the region.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement government affairs strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related role, with a strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with native-level Chinese and professional English and German skills.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, particularly with Chinese background.
