sPro - sustainable-projects is a consultancy dedicated to the management of international projects, primarily funded by the European Commission. Our expertise centers on initiatives focused on the sustainable utilization of marine resources. We serve as the permanent secretariat for the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth and coordinate the EU Mission Ocean in the Baltic and North Sea. The SUBMARINER Network acts as a collaborative platform for stakeholders across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond, promoting innovative and sustainable marine resource usage.
Our Portfolio
With a robust portfolio of over 25 large-scale initiatives, we collaborate with a wide network of reliable partners from across Europe, including academia, industry, business development, NGOs, and the public sector. Our team consists of 35 professionals from diverse academic backgrounds, representing more than 15 nationalities.
Business Support and Policy Team
This team aids startups in accessing the knowledge and resources necessary to bring their innovative solutions to market. We create educational materials and facilitate information exchange to encourage collaborative efforts that advance the sustainable development of blue bioresources. Through our accelerator program, we provide startups and SMEs with mentoring, networking opportunities, and knowledge sharing. Additionally, we manage BlueBioMatch, a platform that connects technology seekers and providers, enabling them to discover projects, products, and opportunities in the blue bioeconomy.
- Designing and executing communication and dissemination strategies for EU-funded projects across various themes (business support, marine policy, blue innovation, shipping and ports, etc.).
- Organizing and participating in meetings and events (both in-person and virtual), ensuring logistical and technical support as needed.
- Transforming reports and project materials into accessible articles, abstracts, presentations, and multimedia content for our diverse media channels.
- Enhancing the design and content of our websites (text, images, graphics, podcasts, videos), social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok), and other communication materials.
- Facilitating communication and community engagement on BlueBioMatch, the SUBMARINER Network's platform that connects innovators, researchers, businesses, NGOs, and ocean enthusiasts.
- Ensuring alignment of project communications with the overarching company communication strategy.
- A relevant university degree.
- 2-3 years of applicable work experience, preferably in EU projects or related sectors.
- Exceptional command of English with demonstrated writing proficiency. Proficiency in additional languages (especially advanced German) is advantageous.
- Proven expertise in project communications, management, and verbal communication.
- Digital proficiency with a solid understanding of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CMS (especially WordPress), collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Airtable), and the ability to create engaging digital content (Canva, InDesign).
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for project meetings and events.
