Daily Responsibilities As the Industrial Cybersecurity Officer (f/m/d), you will spearhead cybersecurity initiatives within the Product Management sector. Your role involves advising senior management and guiding our global product and portfolio teams in translating cybersecurity laws, regulations, and client requirements into actionable security practices and recommendations. You will work collaboratively with and mentor cross-functional teams to embed cybersecurity measures into product development, engineering, design tools, testing, and release processes, as well as internal digitalization projects. Being part of a larger Industrial Cybersecurity community provides you with opportunities for professional growth and sharing best practices.

Key Contributions

  • Formulate and execute cybersecurity strategies and policies to enhance the cyber resilience of our industrial products and solutions throughout their lifecycle, in alignment with PLM processes, cybersecurity strategy, and governance.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Product Portfolio, R&D, and Software Development teams on robust and cost-effective cybersecurity architectures and technologies.
  • Create advanced protection strategies for OT and IT security in ongoing development projects (based on ISO 27001, IEC62443, NIST).
  • Mentor and assist project teams through all phases of the product lifecycle and contribute to security-related activities such as Threat & Risk Analysis, project classifications, architecture reviews, and Penetration Testing.
  • Identify gaps in expert resources and shape the Product Management cybersecurity community.
  • Continuously evaluate cyber risks and suggest appropriate mitigations, including governance and process enhancements when necessary.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of the agreed governance strategy and the maturity of Industrial Cybersecurity.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and regulations, particularly the EU Cyber Resilience Act, NIST, and the US Executive Order, ensuring compliance of our products.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, cybersecurity, electronics, cybernetics, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience, including at least one year in a specialized role related to Cybersecurity.
  • Proven expertise in IT / OT cybersecurity architectures and technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product lifecycle management and secure development processes; familiarity with security standards and regulations such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, NERC CIP is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize complex tasks in multicultural and global teams.
  • Certification in cybersecurity is a plus, such as CISSP, GIAC GCIP, GIAC GICSP, GIAC GPEN, GIAC GCFA, CySa+ or similar.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills in both English and German.
