Role Summary
Our commitment is to ensure customer satisfaction through our Quality Management initiatives.
Our objective is to enhance our responsiveness and implement more effective measures to address quality deviations, ultimately leading to improved customer experiences in our stores. To meet the high standards set by our clientele, we have established a global framework for Quality Deviation Management (QDM).
The QDM team is responsible for orchestrating and overseeing the quality deviation process in collaboration with key stakeholders, always prioritizing customer expectations. We achieve this by thoroughly analyzing potential quality deviations reported by our stores and distribution centers. As a franchisor, it is essential for us to ensure that franchisees receive appropriate compensation and that solutions are found for any defective products. Additionally, we work closely with our partners to learn from our experiences and enhance the quality of our products and processes.
QDM operates under two primary mandates: Product Quality, where we collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee that our customers receive products that are well-designed, manufactured, and compliant with IKEA's quality standards; and Supply Quality, where we ensure that our food and home furnishing items are handled with care and delivered to our customers in optimal condition.
As a Product Quality Intern in the Quality Deviation Management team, you will play a vital role in advancing the product quality deviation process within the IKEA Supply Chain.
In this internship, your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing actively to product quality initiatives aimed at achieving Global Quality objectives aligned with our strategic goals.
- Facilitating communication with relevant stakeholders and coordinating an effective and sustainable corrective action process to ensure high-quality customer experiences.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement by enhancing and developing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing studies in engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field, with a keen interest in quality management and process enhancement.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
