International assignments and business travel are crucial for KPMG. Our International Mobility team assists our employees and various business units in successfully managing international personnel deployments. We serve as the primary contact for matters related to overseas assignments, coordinating deployments and providing guidance on tax, social security, immigration, and labor law issues.
Depending on your area of interest, you can actively contribute your knowledge and skills within one of our teams that support KPMG's internationally active employees. You will work collaboratively in an international environment alongside teams from Global Mobility, International Business Travel, Tax, and International Payroll.
Your Responsibilities
The following tasks await you:
- In the Global Mobility team, you will gain insights into inbound and outbound employee assignments. You will prepare certificates for all assignment-related business transactions and assist in invoicing and accounting for assignment-specific invoices.
- You will support the International Business Travel team in coordinating international business trips, focusing on immigration, health care, safety & security, social security, and taxation. Your responsibilities will include preparing relevant documents and employer certificates, as well as researching and verifying current issues related to the respective travel destinations and initiating further actions as necessary.
- You will assist our Global Mobility Services (Tax) team in preparing German income tax returns with international relevance. Additionally, you will handle objections, respond to inquiries from tax authorities and foreign KPMG entities, and research tax-related questions.
- In the International Payroll team, you will support payroll processing for KPMG's internationally active employees. Alongside maintaining SAP data, you will also assist in gathering and preparing payroll and personal data and creating payroll-related applications.
- You can undertake an internship in HR - International Mobility with a degree in business, law, finance, tourism management, or a comparable field, having completed at least three semesters.
- Ideally, you can commit to a duration of at least 5-6 months for the internship.
- You are proficient in using standard MS Office applications.
- You possess strong German and English language skills.
- A pronounced service orientation, teamwork skills, and organizational abilities complete your qualifications.
