We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled doctoral student to join our research group at the Forschungszentrum Borstel. The successful candidate will work on the development of informatics tools for lipidomics research, focusing on mass spectrometry-based lipidomics data processing and integration of ion mobility in automated lipid identification.

• Implementation and maintenance of software solutions for lipidomics data processing
• Support teaching activities within the German Network for Bioinformatics (de.NBI)
• Development of data quality metrics for lipidomics data analysis

• MSc or BSc in informatics, bioinformatics, or computer sciences
• Experience with LC-MSn-based Omics data processing
• Programming skills in Python, R, and Shiny
• Experience in multivariate data analysis and statistics
• Cheminformatics experience is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills in English
