Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Scientist or Mathematician to join our team at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) as a Researcher in AI Safety and Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and development in the field of AI-related methods, processes, algorithms, and execution environments, with a focus on ensuring safety and security for AI-based solutions in ambitious application classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development in AI-related methods, processes, algorithms, and execution environments
  • Ensure safety and security for AI-based solutions in ambitious application classes
  • Develop and implement novel approaches to safeguard AI methods and algorithms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI safety and security into existing systems and processes
  • Contribute to the development of AI safety and security standards and guidelines
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with AI-related technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the development of AI safety and security standards and guidelines
