Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at FedEx. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of operatives and drivers, ensuring that all team members are motivated and treated fairly and consistently. You will also be responsible for planning and taking action to achieve service levels targets, educating your team on business goals and service objectives, and ensuring that your team follows safe, secure and operationally compliant working practices during the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of operatives and drivers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Plan and take action to achieve service levels targets, including monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators.
- Educate your team on business goals and service objectives, and ensure that they understand their role in achieving these goals.
- Ensure that your team follows safe, secure and operationally compliant working practices during the shift, including adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Manage and resolve conflicts and issues within the team, and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
Requirements:
- Experience in managing a shift and team in a busy freight processing environment is desirable.
- Ability to manage own and teams time effectively with attention to detail.
- Be energetic and enthusiastic, with a strong customer focus.
- Have good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Have a strong understanding of business operations and processes, including the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making.
