The successful candidate will possess a robust technical background and practical experience in facility oversight and logistics management. This position is vital for maintaining the effective and secure functioning of our facilities while managing logistics operations efficiently.
Facility Oversight
- System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Identify and rectify issues in technical systems within the facility. Monitor and coordinate the upkeep of essential building systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems. Conduct necessary electrical inspections within the organization. Manage daily technical operations to ensure all systems function smoothly.
- Installations and Support: Execute installation and assembly tasks for new systems or system upgrades, including electrical systems and janitorial services. Assist the Business Services team with events and visits.
- Coordination and Documentation: Liaise with external service providers and specialists for repairs or inspections. Keep track of spare parts and materials inventory for maintenance tasks. Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Safety and Compliance: Conduct inspections and control measures for safety protocols and fire protection systems. Ensure adherence to legal regulations and guidelines. Monitor energy supply systems and consumption levels.
Logistics Management:
- Coordinate the delivery of supplies and manage waste disposal streams.
- Oversee the refilling, packing, labeling, and shipping of gas cylinders across Europe.
- Manage online shipping processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with logistics providers to guarantee timely and efficient shipping operations.
- Handle the logistics for Precursor Kits to clients globally, including pipetting, packaging, labeling, and shipping.
- Completed technical vocational training or relevant studies.
- Certification as an electrical specialist.
- Strong technical capabilities in facility management systems.
- Hands-on experience with minor electrical repairs and installations.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a related domain.
- Familiarity with the maintenance of safety equipment.
- Experience in logistics operations, particularly with hazardous materials.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Dependability and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in German (C1) and English (B2).
