DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team at Starion, a leading space consultancy and engineering services company. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our client based in Darmstadt, Germany.
About the Client and LocationThe European Organisation for the Exploration of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is a political organisation comprising of 30 European member states. EUMETSAT operates satellites to monitor weather, climate, and the changing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement optimal deployment, integration, verification, and validation strategies for our software releases.
- Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and delivery using tools such as GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of our software releases with corporate services.
- Provide guidance and support on the usage and troubleshooting of our CDF system.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security policies, technical information security requirements, and regulations.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize data loss and ensure quick system recovery.
- Contribute to the 360-technology monitoring and SWOT analysis.
- Report on service activities in relevant EUMETSAT tools.
- University degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps pipelines and continuous integration and delivery.
- Hands-on experience with container ecosystems, including image registries, building container images, and deploying and running in Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of API integration and automation.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Knowledge of all engineering lifecycle activities.
- Service-based approach for defining system specifications.
- Hands-on experience in automating virtual infrastructure deployment and configuration.
- Integration of CI-CD pipelines with corporate tools.
- DevOps certification.
