Fleet Operations Manager

About the Role
The Fleet Manager is a key position within VOI Technology, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fleet in Hannover, Bochum, and Aachen. This includes managing the logistics, repair operations, and facility management for our local operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Set up and continuously improve operational workflows by applying best practices and contributing to the wider fleet management community.
- Logistics and Repair Operations: Ensure smooth running of operations, including field logistics, repair operations, and facility management, both in daily operations and negotiations with landlords.
- KPI Monitoring and Improvement: Drive operational excellence through continuous monitoring of KPIs and taking immediate action where necessary to improve performance.
- Relationship Management: Manage region/city relationships with 3PL partners on a strategic and day-to-day level with the support of your team.
- Target Delivery: Own the delivery of defined targets for the operation in your city or region, including budget goals around the costs of operating.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Recruit, onboard, and engage required roles to keep the business running all year around.
- Workforce and Facilities Planning: Be planful and creative with workforce and facilities capacity planning to achieve the lowest cost of operating possible.
- Fleet Optimization: Make the most out of every vehicle by keeping all of our vehicles on the street available for our users as many hours of the day as possible.
- Culture and Safety: Foster a collaborative and friendly working environment, while driving best-in-class performance, and ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in operations, logistics, production, or similar.
- Experience managing a large team of people.
- Understanding of business management, financial principles, and MS-office, G-suites.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Able to work and structure your work independently with little management oversight.
- Ability to be on the warehouse site up to 90% of your time and travel to the markets/warehouses when needed.
