Aerospace Product Costing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Costing Specialist to join our team at GULP – experts united. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers in the precise calculation and optimization of manufacturing costs.

About the Role

  • Product Cost Calculation and Analysis: You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing product cost calculations, including assessing risks and opportunities of manufacturing costs.
  • Cooperation and Coordination: You will work closely with Bid Management to prepare offers and coordinate with various departments to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Cost Management and Optimization: You will implement materials management and production analyses to identify potential savings and make-or-buy analyses to optimize costs.
  • Results Management: You will support operational results management in close cooperation with Operations Controlling and production departments.
  • Controlling and System Maintenance: You will maintain planned prices and monitor moving average values for stock orders using SAP, as well as develop controlling instruments to improve efficiency.
  • Project Implementation: You will co-responsible for projects such as design-to-cost, cost-down, and value analysis projects, as well as support purchasing in preparing cost breakdowns and value analyses.
  • Consulting and Coaching: You will provide commercial consulting and sparring partner services to the operative production area and purchasing to realize cost and price optimizations.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university studies in industrial engineering or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in product costing/cost engineering
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and SAP
  • Independent working style, self-motivation, and continuous willingness to learn
  • Good communication and presentation skills, especially with customers and authorities
  • Willingness for occasional business trips and flexibility
