Position Overview:

The Director of AI Security Research will oversee a dedicated scientific division focused on the advancement of security measures in artificial intelligence. This role entails a strategic vision for the department's objectives and operational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide a team of researchers specializing in AI security.
  • Establish and refine the strategic direction and focus of the department.
  • Supervise research initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks, budgetary constraints, and project timelines.
  • Engage in the conceptualization, execution, and evaluation of research projects.
  • Foster the professional growth of team members through effective personnel management.
  • Possess a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in the field of AI security research.
  • Exhibit strong communication and presentation capabilities in both English and German.
  • Experience in securing and managing research funding, as well as mentoring emerging researchers, is advantageous.
