In the capacity of Lead Food Safety Specialist, you will be part of a streamlined, dynamic cross-functional team tasked with overseeing our International Safety Quality and Operational Compliance initiatives, supporting numerous engaged regions globally. Your role will involve collaboratively working to minimize risks, promote standards, and achieve operational excellence, ensuring that consumers receive safe and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the International Procurement team to facilitate the execution of the Food Safety and Quality strategy for the Dairy sector. Partner with the International Sourcing Team on strategic initiatives, ensuring that food safety and quality risks are identified and addressed at critical stages of product development. Develop templates and procedures to support the standardized application of central policies across the Dairy sector. Implement strategic and innovative projects to guarantee the supply of safe and high-quality products in all HelloFresh International regions. Drive continuous improvement efforts by coordinating the exchange of information and best practices across HelloFresh regions for the Dairy sector. Cultivate effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. Proactively assess key risks within the Dairy sector and establish methodologies for their mitigation. Regularly review customer complaint trends related to product quality and packaging to identify opportunities for enhancement within the supply chain. Collaborate with Operations teams to achieve key performance metrics. Oversee supplier and product onboarding to ensure compliance with HelloFresh standards. Conduct food safety and quality audits at supplier production facilities in accordance with HelloFresh standards. Assist local teams with any significant customer complaint investigations or product recalls. Manage the artwork approval process for the Dairy sector. Mentor and train team members across markets based on business needs. Exemplify our HelloFresh values and the vision for International Safety Quality and Operational Compliance.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in a comparable role within Food Manufacturing / Assembly / Distribution / Retail, with over 4 years in a relevant industry. Experience in Internal and External Audits. Consultancy or Dairy Industry experience is highly valued. Familiarity with relevant Government Food Regulations (UK/ Wider Europe). Comprehensive knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, and GFSI. CIEH Level 4 award in Food Safety or a relevant qualification. Intermediate/Advanced skills in Google Suite (G-sheets, G-docs, G-slides). Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in data manipulation and analytics. Strong leadership and communication capabilities. Enthusiasm, commitment, and a flexible, can-do attitude. Embraces change, challenges, and the ability to work autonomously. International experience is desirable. Proficient English language skills are required.
