Scope Group is seeking a motivated Cloud Infrastructure Specialist with a solid grasp of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and a robust foundation in networking and security to enhance our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This position involves overseeing our Azure and other cloud platforms while guiding the integration of new cloud solutions to fulfill diverse business needs. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a meticulous planner, and a determined problem-solver, committed to delivering high-quality business services and support.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Manage Scope's existing Azure cloud and on-premises infrastructure through regular operations, including provisioning and de-provisioning services, monitoring alerts, troubleshooting issues, and conducting root cause analyses.
- Regularly oversee backup processes and perform restore tests, along with biannual disaster recovery drills.
- Ensure the platform's high availability by promptly addressing incidents and monitoring system performance.
- Continuously enhance the performance monitoring and fault management of Scope's infrastructure and services.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
- Implement Security Best Practices across all layers of our infrastructure and services.
- Generate reports and raise awareness of potential issues, risks, and concerns across various business sectors to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Champion the automation of processes, system integrations, and the adoption of innovative technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to assess new cloud services and deliver tailored solutions to meet business requirements.
- Engage closely with both technical and business stakeholders to build lasting partnerships and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Your qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant industry certifications and memberships are advantageous.
- A background in IT Infrastructure with at least 1 year of experience in designing and implementing storage systems, networking, load balancing, and firewall solutions, as well as managing Windows and Linux server environments.
- At least 1-2 years of experience managing Microsoft Azure Cloud services, including Networking (VNET, peering, NSG, ASG, Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, etc.), Storage accounts, Data Lake Gen2, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure SQL.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in coding with Python.
- Strong understanding of Relational Databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience in Performance Monitoring and Fault Management.
- Good knowledge of Networking and Network Protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
