Structural Engineering Specialist

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage structural and geotechnical assessments for offshore initiatives.
  • Design and implement engineering solutions for offshore infrastructures, taking into account geotechnical factors.
  • Draft and evaluate technical documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative and secure solutions for offshore constructions.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct site evaluations and geotechnical studies to verify the load-bearing capacity and stability of structures.
  • Develop models and simulations to assess loads and structural deformations.
  • Supervise and assess construction processes, ensuring quality assurance and control on-site.
  • Provide guidance to project teams regarding geotechnical and structural considerations and associated risks.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and support project acquisition efforts.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in civil engineering, geotechnics, structural engineering, naval architecture, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in structural and geotechnical engineering, preferably within the offshore sector.
  • Extensive knowledge in performing geotechnical investigations and structural evaluations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Experience in creating technical documentation, including reports and specifications.
  • Familiarity with applicable standards, regulations, and norms in the offshore industry (DNV / Eurocode / IEC).
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business and undertake on-site assignments.
  • High initiative and capability to work independently and methodically.
  • Enthusiasm for renewable energy and offshore wind projects.
