We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer Traction to join our team at ABB Deutschland. As a key member of our global team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation in rail and e-mobility to achieve a more sustainable future.

• Provide technical support to Sales and Product Management Departments for complex problems
• Collaborate with System Integrators to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues
• Work closely with R&D, Engineering, and Production teams
• Act as a technical key account for customers
• Support customers during design, commissioning, and product use
• Conduct training sessions for customers and internal departments
• Identify improvements and new functionalities of the product
• Specify, maintain, and support engineering tools
• Develop application software for inverters and energy storage systems
• Assist in design and electrical schematics
• Dimension sub-components in the customer system environment
• Provide commissioning support for traction packages

• First-hand experience in a similar position
• Higher technical education in relevant fields
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and power electronics
• Experience with simulation and programming tools
• Knowledge of electrical traction and energy storage systems
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience in an international environment
• Fluency in German and English
• Driver's license, category B
