Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst (m/f/d) to enhance our Credit Risk Department, which plays a vital role in safeguarding our financial stability. This position is integral to evaluating creditworthiness, establishing prudent credit limits, and continuously monitoring credit exposure. The Senior Credit Analyst will be part of a global team based in Frankfurt and will report directly to the Head of Credit Risk Management EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough credit risk evaluations and analyses for both new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with the company's risk policies and regulatory standards.
- Employ risk models and methodologies to assess and mitigate credit risk effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and Customer Services, to facilitate business opportunities while safeguarding the company's financial interests.
- Negotiate credit limits with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with banks and external rating agencies to ensure comprehensive credit assessments.
- Monitor and report on the credit quality of the portfolio, identifying trends and potential risks.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in credit risk management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis or a related field within an international corporate or financial institution.
- Experience managing a diverse customer portfolio across various industries and cultures.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong understanding of financial data from both internal and external sources.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Excel, SAP, and Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse, international environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
