Syben Consulting, a prominent player in the mechanical engineering sector, is seeking a Finance Manager (m/f/d) to enhance and lead the Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the Finance team
  • Accountable for all financial and accounting processes, ensuring their continuous improvement
  • Conduct business analyses, budget planning, and regular evaluations of targets versus actuals, including forecasts and business plans
  • Manage liquidity planning and financial resources
  • Lead and execute internal finance-related projects
  • Streamline and enhance accounting processes
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with HGB & IFRS standards
  • Handle VAT submissions, statistical reporting, and assist with tax documentation
  • Act as a business partner and primary contact for various internal departments
  • Provide support during financial audits
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop team members through a culture of performance and mutual respect
  • Collaborate and deliver services across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Completed business studies with a certification as a qualified accountant is a plus
  • Several years of relevant experience in financial accounting, ideally in an international context, with leadership experience in an industrial setting
  • Proficient in balance sheet preparation according to HGB, with solid experience in annual and consolidated financial statements, including notes and management reports
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with decisiveness and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Passion for coordinating and ensuring high-quality accounting practices
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent comprehension abilities
  • Self-reliant, responsible, and solution-focused work ethic
  • Team-oriented with exceptional communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Desirable expertise in MS Navision and SAP
  • Fluent in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
