Senior Finance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Specialist to join our team in Revenue Recognition. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with IFRS 15.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the German Sales and Commercial Finance teams to ensure the proper accounting of cloud, software, and professional services contracts.
  • Work closely with the Head of Revenue Recognition in Germany and be a member of the GCF Global Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence.
  • Independently process complex customer contracts and critical transactions related to revenue realization in accordance with SAP guidelines and IFRS 15.
  • Coordinate and conduct SOX controls.
  • Ensure the correct processing of contracts in the monthly closing, including the use of the SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) tool.
  • Act as a point of contact for auditors regarding revenue recognition of customer contracts.
  • Develop training materials and actively participate in the implementation of training programs.
  • Contribute to Global Commercial Finance (GCF) projects and programs.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business administration, preferably with a focus on accounting, auditing, and/or financial reporting.
  • Relevant experience in finance, preferably in a Big Four accounting firm.
  • Excellent German and English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in IFRS 15-related topics.
  • High level of motivation, curiosity, and proactivity.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
