The development of plug-in hybrid vehicles (EQ Power) is pivotal in advancing sustainable mobility at Mercedes-Benz. These vehicles offer a unique combination of electric driving for daily use and an efficient combustion engine for longer trips. The intricate nature of electrified powertrains presents a fascinating challenge, merging various aspects of electromobility with traditional drive systems.
You will be an integral part of our operational strategy team, which focuses on the functional development of vehicle operating strategy software and its implementation in Mercedes hybrid models. Our team is composed of enthusiastic individuals, including interns, graduates, and doctoral candidates, all working together to bridge scientific research with practical development using prototype vehicles and advanced simulation tools.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and overseeing vehicle and test bench evaluations
- Analyzing and interpreting measurement data
- Creating and enhancing automated evaluation processes
- Preparing prototype vehicles for testing
- Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink is preferred
- Experience with ETAS INCA/MDA is advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Strong commitment and teamwork skills
- Analytical thinking and strategic approach
- Fluent in both written and spoken German and English
