42 Berlin is a recently launched, disruptive higher education NGO/start-up educating up to 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment.
42 Berlin is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was founded in 2013 in Paris and now trains 18k+ students in 50+ schools across the globe.
TasksAs Tech/IT Intern at 42 Berlin, you will support the Tech team in the maintenance and improvement of the 42 IT infrastructure and software development. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Making our infrastructure and network more secure
- Development of a project based on your interests to achieve your learning goals and provide value to the school
- Deployment of new software and updates
- Improving the technical student experience
- Process optimization and automation. e.g. with Python and Ansible
Essential:
- Right to live and work in Germany
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English
- Alignment with our values (inclusive and open-minded)
- Friendly, kind, helpful, proactive and flexible personality
- Interest in automation and solving technical problems focusing on reliability and maintainability
- Comfortable using MacOS and Linux (Ubuntu or Rocky)
- Candidates from any 42 school should have completed the Common Core before the internship begins
Nice to have:
- Experience with APIs
- Python, Bash Scripting, C/C++, Databases
- Automation with Ansible
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS CLI, VMware
- Become part of an international tech community in the heart of Berlin
- High-tech campus including a yoga/gym room, nap room, shower, garden with BBQ, fully stocked FabLab and workshop in the basement
- Personal development budget to be used on training or coaching
- Team events on a regular basis
