Creative Lead Motion Design

As Creative Lead Motion Design at ST. ROBO, you will lead and shape the visual storytelling for high-impact touring shows and live entertainment experiences. You will drive the creative vision and execution of screen-based content – from dynamic animations and real-time visuals to integrated media for stage and immersive productions. Collaborating closely with the show director, engineers, and content creators, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of screen and motion content: from concept and design to production and integration. As a hands-on creative leader, you will guide the Motion Design team and set visual standards that push boundaries and excite audiences worldwide. Tasks Lead the Motion Design team, defining creative direction and storytelling approaches for screen content in live shows. Develop and oversee visual content strategies for stage productions, ensuring visual cohesion and audience impact. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create cutting-edge screen visuals using 2D/3D animation, real-time content, and interactive elements. Guide the creation of creative guidelines, visual style frames, and motion systems for use across international productions. Ensure alignment with ST. ROBO’s brand identity and show aesthetics across all screen content. Direct project workflows from concept development through production and show integration, ensuring timelines and quality targets are met. Inspire and mentor a team of designers, animators, and artists, fostering a culture of innovation, precision, and show-readiness. Requirements Qualifications: 5+ years experience in motion design, creative direction, or screen content production, ideally in live shows, touring, or multimedia installations. Deep proficiency in After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator and related motion design tools. Experience with AI-based image and video generation tools (e.g., Runway, Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, etc.) and their creative application in motion workflows Proficiency in M365, Slack and Asana. Experience with real-time graphics workflows (e.g., Notch, TouchDesigner, Unreal) is a strong plus. Strong understanding of stage design, screen placement, audience dynamics, and media integration in live environments. Proven ability to lead creative teams and manage high-stakes timelines under pressure. Fluency in German and English. Skills: Strong leadership in creative and human resource management. Effective in decision-making, delegation, and negotiation. Visionary and inspiring creative mindset. Excellent pitching and writing skills.
