The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is an institute of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB). **“**Numerics for innovative semiconductor devices**”**

(Head: Dr. Patricio Farrell) **starting January 1, 2024.**

**Field of work**: The aim of the position is to work on numerical discretization methods for partial differential equations (finite volume methods) in the semiconductor field. In particular, perovskites will be studied together with our project partners of Imperial College London and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin.

zu besetzen.

Der/die Bewerber/in wird an numerischen Diskretisierungsverfahren für partielle Diskretisierungsverfahren (Finite-Volumen-Methoden) für Anwendungen im Halbleiter-Bereich arbeiten. Von Interesse sind dabei insbesondere Perowskite, die gemeinsam mit unseren Projektpartnern vom Imperial College London und dem Helmholz-Zentrum Berlin untersucht werden sollen.

**Wir suchen**: Promotion in (angewandter) Mathematik oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet. Englische Sprachkenntnisse sowie der sichere Umgang mit mindestens einer Programmiersprache werden erwartet. Wünschenswert sind Erfahrung mit Teamarbeit, Vorwissen im Halbleiterbereich sowie Interesse an angewandter indisziplinärer Forschung.

Die Stelle wird nach TVöD vergütet und ist zunächst auf zwei Jahre befristet. Die Arbeitszeit beträgt 39 Wochenstunden.
