As a Factory Development / CI Specialist, you will drive the continuous improvements in production of DC-Drive Cabinets within Motion - System Drives Division in Mannheim, Germany. You will optimize the production organization’s assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety by continu-ously monitoring projects in progress. Reporting to the Head of Operations DC Drives, your focus will be on optimizing the manufacturing process through innovation in a cost-effective way.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Drive the digitalization in the factory - Develop and implement new tools, dashboards and processes
- Identifying and implementing smart improvements to the manufacturing process in line with cost, safety and timing requirements
- Investigating new methods, technologies and changes in equipment and process design to meet speci-fications and ensuring optimal efficiency in production methods
- Consulting and working with production operators and supervisors to implement changes on the pro-duction line
- Executing continuous improvement, standardize processes and develop best practices
- Working in cross-functional teams to execute the continuous improvement strategy
- Maintenance of all SAP master data relevant to the Production process
- Monitoring of the start and end of production as well as permanent cost tracking of all cabinet pro-jects during project phase
- Promote and lead improvement programs and projects within the scope of responsibility, with a hands-on and problem-solving approach

**Your background**:

- A degree in Engineering or similar field (Production Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
- Min. 3 years of work experience in a related function with technical background; experience in produc-tion environment or production engineering department or in a position related to production im-provement
- Demonstrated experience working on a production line (Supervisory experience is an advantage.)
- Good knowledge of process analysis and process improvement
- Very Good knowledge of data analysis and statistic with related software (MS Power BI, Excel) and of SAP especially in Modules SAP/MM and SAP/PP
- Office365, including Sharepoint
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guide-lines
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel worldwide (~20%)
