**Duties**:
Cleans, oils, and polishes the bowling lanes and lane approaches adhering to established standards. Sweeps, dusts, and cleans other areas of the bowling facility; collects and removes trash; and maintains all areas in a clean and orderly fashion. Hand sands and varnishes minor flaws in lanes until surface can be conditioned.

Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling lane machinery as necessary, and performs periodic minor preventive maintenance on automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment.

Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Advises bowling facility management of unusual maintenance problems.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- **Qualifying Experience**:
Knowledge in the maintenance of bowling lanes; skill and ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions. Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Position requires working irregular schedules, to include weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
- **Conditions of Employment**: Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical due to the moderate lifting and physical effort required for the position. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1/National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.

**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position **does not **allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

**FOREIGN EDUCATION**:Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
