Finance Director

SPECTRO is one of the worldwide leading suppliers of analytical instruments, employing optical emission (stationary and mobile Arc/Spark OES, ICP-OES) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) technology, used for the elemental analysis of materials in industry, research and academia. SPECTRO is a business unit of AMETEK, Inc.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the accounting team (6-7 employees)
- Prepare and submit the monthly US GAAP financials in HFM system
- Lead the entity's SOX quarterly requirements, such as account reconciliations and other key controls
- Ensure conformity with US-GAAP, local statutory requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley and Corporate policies
- Reports directly to the Divisional Vice President, BU Controller
- Drive the organization to achieve short
- and long-term business objectives
- Develop talent in the finance organization and ensure succession planning
- Prepare annual budget and monthly operational expenses forecasts
- Prepare ad hoc requests for Corporate
- Ensures timely, accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Responsible for annual statutory audit with external auditors

Required knowledge and skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. MBA / CPA a plus
- Minimum ten years accounting or finance experience, including supervisory experience in a manufacturing or public accounting firm
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in German and English language
- Experience with German HGB and US GAAP
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross functionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
