**Aircraft Mechanic 2 (Avionics/Electrician) - Illesheim/Germany**:

The **Aircraft Mechanic II (Avionics/Electrical)** performs repairs and troubleshoots aircraft systems and malfunctions of avionics, navigation, electrical, and communications systems.
- Install, remove, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, and navigation systems in aircraft.
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring and/or cable on aircraft in adherence to established specifications.
- Cuts and strips wire, insulates connections.
- Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools and soldering irons.
- Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
- Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
- Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
- Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
- Shall have Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
- FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3 required.
- Must possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P), with at least Two (2) years' aviation maintenance experience, and Two years on the assigned MDS. (Army Rotary Wing UH60, CH47, AH64)
- All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
- If no A&P, must possess an FCC License with Elements 1 and 3 as well as Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and Two (2) years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS).
- If no FCC License, discuss with Recruiter your willingness to obtain.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a T1/CAC NACI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.
- Interim NACI approval required for deployment.
- Valid US Passport Required.

**Germany Specific**:

- ** TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.***:**Travel: As required in support of task order.**:
**Knowledge & Skills**
- ** Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.**:

- **Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work task.**:

- **Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.**:

- **Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.**:
**Physical Requirements/Working Environment**
- ** Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.**:

- **Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.**:

- **Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.**:

- **Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.**:
