As Business Excellence Advisor you will be a member of the Business Excellence Team in the Business Unit (BU) Solar & Batteries (SoBa) working on topics like Process Excellence & Digitalisation as well as Governance & Compliance.
As a person, you are energetic and enjoy engaging with people working in different parts of the organisation. You are able to find the right balance between challenging and supporting the business and you have a good intercultural understanding.
An example of an average work week in this role:
On Monday and Tuesday, in the office or virtually, you meet with various stakeholders of the BU SoBa organization to review processes along the value chain and discuss current challenges in the way of working. In doing so, you reconcile different perspectives and thereby identify holistic improvement potentials to bring SoBa's performance to a higher level. In the follow-up, you develop detailed solution ideas for the realization of the improvement potentials. On Wednesday, you are on a business trip to one of our offices in another country to assist the management in a strategy implementation workshop. You facilitate and structure to help determine how the newly defined & approved strategy can best be implemented. On Thursday back in the (home) office, you conduct a training to introduce & explain the latest deployed improvements to project managers and project engineers. Inspired by that session you organize other change management measures to ensure the adoption of the changes in the way of working. On Friday, you meet with key users and your colleagues from the Business Excellence team to assess the improvement ideas collected at the beginning of the week. You conclude the week by preparing a decision proposal that should enable the implementation of the strategy, to be presented to the management team next week.
You will have the following key responsibilities:
The overall responsibility is to manage the business processes of a technology along the entire value chain to enable continuous improvement by:
- Managing cross functional strategic & improvement projects along the whole BU SoBa value chain
- Continuously identify, assess and implement business process improvement potentials in cooperation with business leads, process owners, users and other stakeholders
- Manage the deployment of processes and tools that enable the smooth operation of business processes
- Conceptualize and implement change management and communication measures to ensure successful adoption of new processes, ways of working & digital tools
- Monitor, evaluate and report compliance of the defined business processes
- Define and incorporate new ideas that enable people in the organization to perform at a higher level
Location
The location can be in Berlin, Amsterdam or Hamburg. However, you must expect travel activities related to your work in Northern Europe and you have colleagues placed at different locations.
**Profile**:
- You have a university degree (or equal) in business, economics, engineering or similar
- You have a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in the renewable energy or consultancy sector
- You have a proven track record within the field of interdisciplinary project management, process improvement and change management
- You are pro-active and are comfortable taking ownership in the tasks you work on
- You are structured and organized; you understand how to manage complex projects with a complex stakeholder field
- You have proven skills in dealing with unforeseen issues, problems and challenges - always seeing the big picture and are able to prioritize during challenging periods
- You have a high degree of self-motivation, enjoy team work and work effectively as part of a virtual team
