Sales Accountant

**Responsibilities**:

- **Sales Revenue Management**:

- Monitor and record all sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Reconcile sales accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments
- **Financial Reporting**:

- Prepare sales forecasts and reports, providing insights into sales performance and trends
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to sales revenue
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to provide accurate sales forecasts and budget reports.
- **Tax Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, particularly VAT (Umsatzsteuer), related to sales transactions
- Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related documentation
- **Customer Account Management**:

- Maintain detailed records of customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and up to date
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account discrepancies
- Provide support in managing credit control processes, including credit assessments and limits
- **Process Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities to streamline sales accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting procedures and systems.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the sales team to understand business needs and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure smooth sales operations.
- **Sales and Finance Support**:

- Planning and processing of all payment transactions at home and abroad
- Supporting the sales team in the preparation and follow-up of quotations, orders and invoices.
- Managing customer contacts and maintaining the CRM database.
- Creating sales reports and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Accountant, Accounts Receivable Accountant, or in a similar role.
- Fluency in both German and English is essential, with strong communication skills in both languages.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations, particularly related to sales and VAT.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the trading card industry is a plus but not required.
