**Job Description Summary**: The Sustainability Leader is responsible for the business sustainability strategy, execution of the sustainability programs, and achievement of critical sustainability KPI’s. This role leads a mission-based team driving near-term and long-term sustainability initiatives. This role is responsible for sustainability KPI’s, cross-functional alignment, and shaping our sustainability strategy.
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to create and align on the business sustainability strategy
- Align with the GE Vernova Sustainability Leadership team to ensure that strategy and roadmap are properly connected
- Lead a mission-based team ensuring priorities are aligned, critical competencies are developed, and One Team culture
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, industry representatives, and external stakeholders
- Lead efforts to build a product circularity strategy including external benchmarking, conducting detailed analysis, and creating business cases
- Ensure efficient and effective data collection approach and accurate reporting of critical sustainability data
- Develop and own critical Scope 1 & Scope 2 sustainability KPI’s
- Partner with manufacturing sustainability stakeholder to develop and execute energy efficiency reduction strategy to deliver on KPI’s
- Develop and own critical Scope 3 sustainability KPI’s
- Partner with sourcing, engineering and product management to develop & executive strategy to deliver on KPI’s
- Establish operating rhythm and rigor to deliver on critical deliverables
- Attract talent, development team, and foster an environment of strong engagement and accountability
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 7 years of program management, product management, sustainability, and/or relevant experience

- Demonstrated ability to influence others, drive change, and align cross-functional teams to success
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with customers and/or external organizations
- Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to organize data analysis effectively, assess tradeoffs, and make accurate conclusions
- Thought leader - able to see around corners, challenges status quo and leverage data/insights to develop forward-looking strategies
- Able to navigate complexity, develop clear actions, and drive impact
- Excellent communicator - able to communicate in clear, concise manner with customers, cross-functional teams and senior leaders
- Strong business acumen and global mindset
- Prior experience in the Wind industry
- Prior experience leading sustainability programs and knowledge of sustainability standards, programs, and requirements
