ABOUT THIS ROLE
Based in Berlin, Audible is looking for a Studio Coordinator for our in-house Studios in Berlin Mitte. As Studio Coordinator, you take on one of the key positions in the recording studio and are responsible for the scheduling of voice talents, directors and technical staff. You ensure the smooth running of our own spoken word productions, including audio books, multicast audio dramas, and podcasts. You will be a key contributor to the development of the German spoken word audio market and our German business.
This position is open through a 24 months contract.
As a Studio Coordinator, you will...
- Booking and scheduling voice talents, rate negotiations with talents and/or their agencies.
- Casting in cooperation with directors and production management.
- Analyzing scripts, calculate recordings times, establishing recording schedules, preparing recording scripts for cast.
- Foresighted planning and management of recordings sessions, audio engineers, proof listeners, directors, actors and voice talents in coordination with the production management and studio lead.
- Asset management.
- Development and, if necessary, implementation of alternative production schedules.
- Communication and coordination with project managers and employees for smooth project planning.
- Managing orders for office/studio supplies.
- Be the friendly face that greets and directs all people who visit the studio and act as a hub of information for your co-workers and freelancers.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years' of professional experience and a solid background in scheduling and managing projects in the audio(visual) media industry and an in-depth knowledge of processes and work flows of audio and/or tv productions.
- Striving in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment.
- Fluent in German and very good command English, both spoken and written.

- A great attitude and a warm, welcoming and approachable personality.
- Experience in booking and scheduling personnel.
- Distinctive organizational skills and can display flexibility.
- Ability to think goal and solution-oriented and are able to work independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
