You will be supporting the Shell Mobility business in the DACH region.

Shell Mobility represents the single largest customer-facing business in the group. As Shell looks to the future, Mobility is critical to establish Shell as The Low Carbon Leader, with ambitions to be the no. 1 in mobility and the heart of our business, treating every interaction as a chance to bring our purpose to life to making people’s journeys better.

The Mobility business in the DACH region comprises of some 2,500 service stations serving >1mln customers each day. With Germany being the biggest Economy in Europe and amongst the ten strongest globally it forms a key pillar in Shell Mobility’s current and future business. Therefore, DACHs leading position when it comes to environmental consideration and sensitivity provides for ideal conditions to develop and de-risk future business models in line with Shells low carbon ambitions.

The Finance function in Shell is organized in an integrated model where Finance Advisors, Centre of Excellence and Finance Operation teams work together across on
- and offshore locations to support the business. Finance Advisors serve as the face of Finance to the Business where we they support the Business Teams in pursuing opportunities or tackling challenges prioritized based on value and risk. Finance Advisors are responsible for the delivery of Finance capability and competence required to support a set of clearly defined business outcomes across multiple activities/assets and business decision making. Centre of Excellence teams provide support for dedicated areas of expertise (tax, treasury, accounting, and reporting) and Finance Operation teams support with routine accounting activities and are owning planning, reporting and appraisal processes from locations in Chennai, Krakow and Manila.

**What’s the role?**

This position will have a specific focus to support the DACH Mobility Network Team that manages the Planning, Engineering and Real Estate matters to maintain and grow the Network of Mobility service stations. DACH Mobility network is undergoing a significant transformation and growth journey as they manage the roll out of the electrical vehicle (EV) charging business over the next years which comes with a massive investment program. You will be assigned to a variety of finance activities assigned by the Finance Manager based on Value/Risk (e.g. large investments, new business models and processes, new Customer Value Propositions and customer offers, control framework integrity, performance management, etc.) depending on the requirements, of the specific activity:

- Deliver the full suite of Finance support (including tax, treasury, accounting, and structuring) autonomously and coordinate the involvement of Centres of Excellence on
- and offshore
- Independently ensure that a proper functioning control framework is in place and that risks are properly understood, reflected, and managed
- Independently ensure value and risks are made transparent and understood in both decisions making and in performance management
- Ensure a fit for purpose performance management system is in place
- In activities where Finance Operations and Business act together to deliver, lead/initiate structural improvement projects
- Actively look for opportunities to reduce non-value adding Finance activity (“demand management”)
- Maximize use of Finance Operations in delivery of processes

**What we need from you?**
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Significant years of professional experience across the basic spectrum of Finance competences (accounting, reporting, performance appraisal, valuation, financial analysis, risk, and assurance)
- Ability to gain the confidence of various stakeholders building on strong knowledge and understanding of the business drivers, value, and risk
