Senior Architect

**Your tasks**:
Global Real Estate Management (GREM), Global Procurement and Global Spend Governance form together Global Spend Management. The Global Spend Management Organization contains more than 700 employees all over the world.

Global Real Estate Management (GREM) work together with Schenker business units on developing optimal solutions in all Real Estate matters to create a competitive advantage for DB Schenker partners on a worldwide basis with the operational units to drive the property portfolio of the Schenker Group. GREM's responsibilities include Transaction Management, Construction Management, Facility Management and Real Estate Sustainability.
- Key responsibilities:
- Develop global standards for building specifications based on logistic business' needs and its operational models
- Ensure coordinated design meets design expectations, performance and specifications of design objective and satisfies technical and code compliance matters
- Give input to optimize design for cost, speed, and sustainability with LCM and LCA approach
- Provide the technical support in the sourcing process of building materials and prefabricated building component suppliers
- Provides conceptual, schematic, and detail designs, development authorities' submissions, and assistance in production of tendering documents in allocated large complex projects
- Assistance in construction management of projects including review of Shop Drawings, responding to requests for information, site visits and reports

**Requirements**:

- Job requirements:
- Successful completion of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent
- Proven track record in professional architecture experience in all design phases of logistic facilities
- General understanding of zoning and building regulation ensuring project designs conform to local code
- Affinity with international design codes
- Advanced drafting and 3D capabilities
- Ability to express ideas effectively, orally, graphically and in writing
- Experience in preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals
- Materials and systems research capability
- Experience in green building credentials such as LEED, DGNB will be beneficial
- Ability to express ideas effectively, orally, graphically and in writing; proficiency in English language is mandatory while addition languages would be beneficial
- Good technical aptitude with a problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to travel

**Benefits**:
This role is responsible for developing global standards, applicable in more than 65 countries, together with the engineering team. The global building standards includes building specifications for design components and their respective supply base. Moreover, this role is also responsible for steering or managing construction projects in respective area of expertise. The role reports to the Head of Global Real Estate Engineering.

Henceforth, we are looking for a Senior Architect who is eager to be heard, have full command on design, have technical competence, can work closely with the team, and bring forward ideas effectively. You will hold a significant input on design, think outside the box, utilise your creative flair and previous experience in logistic projects. Alongside fellow designers, GREM colleagues and logistic experts, you will collaborate on the development of building standards, whilst managing some of the processes as lead.**Our offer**:
