In order to support our Integration & Standardization Team, Airbus Helicopters is offering an

**Internship Vehicle Physical Integration (d/f/m)**:
Have you ever wanted to gain a global view of Helicopters and be in contact with different interfaces within the company (Research and Development, Manufacturing, Support and Services, Marketing, Offers, Sales, etc.) while working in an engineering function?

The mission of our department is to obtain optimal Physical Integration compromise at Helicopter level of all systems, taking into account all related and relevant constraints.

You will be part of a multi-national team inside the integration and installation métier of the Airbus Helicopter Engineering function.

**Your location**:
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:
Integration coordination:

- Carrying out concept and integration studies for new developments and further developments in existing helicopter programmes - with regard to clearance, function, accessibility, maintainability, functional and operational compatibility
- Organisation of digital mock-up meetings to avoid incompatibilities (geometric, functional, safety-related as well as accessibility, maintainability)
- Follow-up of action plans, development of solution proposals and execution of final collision investigations before design freeze and production release
- Presentation of results in technical briefs and reports with associated action plans

Digital Mock-Up (DMU) Management:

- Preparation of DMU environments as a basis for subsequent integration studies
- Preparation of DMU environments as a basis for illustrations for quotations, design reviews, etc.
- Ensuring 3D data quality in cooperation with relevant departments and external partners and defining measures to improve data quality
- Organisation of 3D data transfer with partners
- Checking the completeness and quality of 3D models and, if necessary, requesting correct 3D models from the relevant departments

**Desired skills and qualifications**:

- You are an enrolled student (d/f/m) in the field of aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study
- You have basic knowledge in mechanical installation/integration of equipment or structural elements
- You have basic knowledge in the use of CAD software (ideally CATIA V5)
- You have good knowledge of office programs (Google Workspace, MS Office, etc.)
- You have a good command of English at an advanced level
- German and / or French are an advantage but not necessary
- You know basic programming (VBA, Javascript or similar) - an advantage but not necessary
