**Job Description**:
As a newly public EV company based in Los Angeles, California, Fisker, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Senior Tax Specialist in Europe with experience in Income taxes, a "can do" attitude, critical thinking skills, solution oriented, and excellent interpersonal skills to support our business as we grow. We have a best-in-class finance team, and the Senior Tax Specialist will be the fifth tax hire we add to the team. We are seeking a person who can dig into the details related to direct taxes and is enthusiastic about learning the operations side of the Company.

Job Summary:
The Senior Tax Specialist will wear multiple hats due to Fisker’s start-up environment and rapid growth in operations. The role of the Senior Tax Specialist requires knowledge of laws, processes, and procedures related to EU direct taxes, transfer pricing, and related tax filings. Basic knowledge of indirect taxes is a plus.

The primary functions for this position are taking ownership and improving our current EU direct tax/TP process to ensure timely filing and assisting the EU based Fisker entity in other areas of tax and assist with indirect tax review processes.

Secondary roles will revolve around ad hoc projects related to various direct tax topics, research topics, and monitor legislative changes in EU tax laws. This role will report to the Tax Manager based in Europe.

**Job Description**:

- Coordinate and provide external tax consultants with necessary files to submit Income tax returns in Europe.
- Review TP transactions and coordinate with external tax consultants for accuracy.
- Research Income tax topics and respond to any inquiries or audits from Tax authorities in Europe.
- Assist with reports from OneSource / SAP S4 Hana.
- Assist the Fisker EU entity with other tax issues such as other indirect taxes.
- Assist with monthly/quarterly reconciliations of GST and VAT receivable accounts.
- Monitor future changes in Income tax laws in Europe and analyze their impact on Fisker.
- Assist with ad hoc projects on as needed basis. Ad hoc projects could be related to tax research, prepare memorandums, etc.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of income tax experience focused on Europe. VAT experience in Europe is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field.
- Experience working with OneSource/SAP R/4 HANA
- Experience in filing GST indirect tax returns and other tax filings in Europe.
- Experience in manufacturing, technology and/or automotive is desired but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment either independently or in a small team environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task & prioritize with attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, & ability to effectively communicate.
- EU Chartered Accountant or license equivalent to the U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
