We are looking for a **Director of Engineering - Logistics Restaurant (all genders)** to join our vendor tribe to develop products that serve our restaurants globally. More than four million orders daily that are being transmitted to our vendors give a unique opportunity to push the boundaries and make a global difference. Our team is growing and you will be fundamental in shaping an organization with 20+ engineers and 3+ squads this year.

**Your mission**:
- Lead, support, and mentor Engineering Managers to grow and be more effective leaders.
- Facilitate organizational changes, sustainably scale the engineering org to double the size over the next year.
- Deeply understand the business processes and participate in defining the roadmap for core Delivery Hero teams responsible for transmitting and delivering orders across the globe.
- Plan and ensure the scalability of the systems you own.
- Incorporate best practices when it comes to data compliance, PII data protection, security into our infrastructure, tools, products, processes, and our org culture.
- Drive both quarterly and long-term objectives and key results with full responsibility for executing the OKRs.
- Champion best engineering practices, be a pragmatic voice showing where to invest engineering effort where it can best move the needle.
**Your heroic skills**:
- Experience with managing managers and multiple teams simultaneously.
- A strong engineering background, knowledge, and being able to evaluate complex technical decisions.
- Coaching, mentoring, and setting people up for success.
- Past experience with structured performance evaluations and review processes.
- A mindset compatible with continuous deployment, agile planning, cloud-based systems, experimentation, and testing.
- Past experience with cloud deployments (Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP).
- Being able to adapt to change and find pragmatic solutions.
- Experience with setting up processes in an engineering team.
