**The Position**:
Would you like to join a pharmaceutical company, where your skills, competencies, and creativity can open doors for your development and professional growth? During your internship you will have the opportunity to support to integrate environmental and social considerations into the purchasing process aiming at reducing adverse impacts upon health, social conditions, and the environment. In our department Global Sourcing you will participate in exciting projects in Sustainable Purchasing and Sourcing Governance. Start date: March 1st 2024

Duration: 5 months for the internship, optionally followed by 6 months for the Master Thesis

***Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- During your internship you support the Sustainable Purchasing Manager in developing further the concept of sustainable purchasing.
- You contribute to global cross-functional projects in Sustainable Purchasing and Sourcing Governance.
- You can identify gaps, best practices, and potential improvement areas within the segment of sustainable purchasing strategies.
- You support the Sustainable Purchasing/Sourcing Governance Managers in timely reporting and other external or internal communications as well as management dashboards.
- (Optional) You write a Master Thesis about an innovative and exciting topic in the area of Sustainable Purchasing supporting Boehringer Ingelheim to develop further the sustainable purchasing strategy.

***Requirements**:

- Student in Business Administration, Economics, IT or equivalent with basic knowledge in sourcing processes and principles.
- Knowledge of sustainability basics such as Greenhouse Gas protocol, Science Based Target initiative, etc.
- Hands-on mentality with high intrinsic motivation to learn.
- Dedicated, creative, and team-oriented way of working.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
