MediaMarktSaturn Technology is working to make Europe’s number-one consumer electronics retailer the technology leader in its industry. To this end, several hundred developers, UX designers, and system architects using state-of-the-art technology work hand in hand with business owners in agile teams to develop customer-focused technology solutions for more than 6 million customers every day in 13 countries.
We are searching for a seasoned Cloud specialist (M/F/d) who has experience with cloud-native setups, is familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code, understands DevOps, and is familiar with the governance (security, compliance, system stack) challenges of cloud landing zones. This dedicated role will be the lead of our Cloud Governance team and a mixture of a People Manager and a Technical Leader at MMS to have a positive impact by combining the DevOps culture with a Security and Compliance mindset.
**Your tasks**:
- Working together on Cloud Architectures, respecting Cloud Security and secure configurations
- Designing System Administration, Containers, and Kubernetes
- Implementing guardrails via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Developing and implementation of automated enforcer rollouts (Prisma Cloud) on all used server operating systems, like Microsoft Server or various Linux derivates
- Ensure that all cloud resources are equipped with security-relevant features
- Champions cloud governance best practices and ensures they are followed by the respective product team
- Be an active part of the technical community for the respective competency
**People Management**:
- Hold the functional responsibility (focus on skills) for employees in the same role within the domain
- Do regular 1:1s and feedback talks with direct reports
- Initiate personnel actions, especially skill development, individual training measures, training on the job, etc.
- Foster the continuous development of competency skills across domains
- Manage cross functional meetings and other formats
- Ensure consistency of knowledge and creating a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Report to the Engineering Delivery Lead Computing
**Requirements**:
- Degree in (business) informatics or comparable qualification
- Experience in building and managing a passionate and high-performing team
- Expert with Kubernetes, microservice setups, and everything touching this area
- Always curious to test out new patterns and tech, especially open-source tools
- Extensive experience in cloud platforms (GCP preferred, Azure nice to have) and IaC
- Familiar with common DevOps technologies (K8s, Terraform, Github, Opsgenie, etc.) and programming languages
- Knowledge of policy enforcers e.g. Prisma Cloud and with security frameworks like CIS, NIST, CSF is desirable
- Agile way of working and a basic understanding of SCRUM
- Strong presentation and evangelism skills
- Independent working style, ability to work in a team, organizational skills as well as initiative, willingness to learn, and customer orientation
- Able to communicate to Top Management as well as to Engineers
- Fluent in English, German would be a plus
