**Responsibilities**

The Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences is seeking a professor (W2) of bioorganic chemistry.

We expect the professor to teach all aspects of organic chemistry in the bachelor’s and master’s programs and to take part in teacher training programs and teach students taking minors in the field.

**Your profile**

Applicants should have a relevant international track record in publishing in the field of bioorganic chemistry and synthetic organic chemistry as well as experience in acquiring and conducting externally funded projects. We also expect applicants to have good teaching skills and teaching experience in organic chemistry. It is desirable for applicants to have knowledge of and to have contributed to international and interdisciplinary collaboration and projects. German-language proficiency (C1) or the willingness to develop the same within 2 years of appointment is expected.
