**JOB OVERVIEW**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:

- Supporting patent attorney interactions with national and inter-governmental intellectual property organizations through paper and electronic submissions, both directly in-house and through outside IP attorneys and agents to ensure the timely receipt of patent office communications and timely filing of appropriate responses.
- Preparing and maintaining patent-related event docket due dates reflecting filing and pending prosecution, including following and contributing to department standard operating processes/procedures.
- Supporting the inventor remuneration process.
- Significant work with and ideally administering patent database/software systems, preferably CPA Memotech or similar system, used in an IP law department.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- 3+ years’ experience in patent prosecution support for filing and administration of EPO, WIPO, GPTO, and international patent/IP portfolios in private law firms and/or in-house corporate law departments.
- Patent paralegal, or comparable education.
- Knowledge of the German inventor remuneration process and associated information tracking would be beneficial.
- Experience with patent office databases, such as the European Patent Register, Espacenet,
- DPMAregister, DEPATISnet, USPTO databases; and advanced internet research skills a plus.
- Other office/administrative skills, including agility in Microsoft Office, Concur travel/expense reporting, and general other administrative support.
- Proficiency in English. German language skills are beneficial.
