**THE POSITION**
- Within the department Pharmaceutical Development, the team Liquids and Early Development at the Biberach site is looking for a Principal Scientist at the earliest possible date. If you are inspired by working in a highly motivated team on scientific challenges in the area of liquid, parenteral formulations of peptides, analytics and emerging technologies, as well as leading cross functional teams in driving development and technology projects, please join our team.
- You will significantly contribute to the full span of development of new drugs for challenging New Chemical Entities (NCEs) and Peptides from Start of Development until launch to the market.

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- In your new role, you will independently plan, evaluate, and supervise pharmaceutical development for parenteral drug products - mainly peptides and long acting injectables.
- The work includes fast and smart development approaches for early non-clinical and clinical projects, as well as the late-stage development incl filing to make products ready for the market.
- You will represent as drug product team member the department in interdisciplinary project teams and drive as CMC Team lead development projects.
- Furthermore, you will evaluate and establish state-of-the-art formulation technologies for parenterals focusing on peptides and long-acting peptide approaches, new digital or automation approaches and build and maintain a good academia network.
- You will act as expert contact person for technical assistants, who are assigned to you for the project work.

**Requirements**:

- Doctoral degree in natural sciences in chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, or related disciplines with several years of professional experience in the field of parenteral formulation development ideally pharmaceutical peptide drug products
- Technical and regulatory expertise of synthetically produced pharmaceutical peptide drug products as well as experience in the development of drug device combination products is a plus
- Proven leadership skills either as project leader or as disciplinary lead in line functions
- Very good communication, presentation and moderation skills
- Ability to work in a team and enthusiasm for product development
- Business fluency in German and English
