**Your mission**
Together with 220+ bright minds, you will work every day on customised solutions for large online retailers and marketplaces and design the payment solutions of tomorrow.
The BNPL (buy now pay later) market has rapidly grown in importance. More than half of all payments in the e-commerce sector are processed with products offered by Ratepay. This has enabled us to grow rapidly in recent years and become one of the leading German fintechs.
Backed by top international private equity investors such as Hellman & Friedman, Advent International and Bain Capital, Ratepay is a fully owned subsidiary of Nexi Group, the largest payment service provider in Northern Europe.
As a **Senior Accountant (M/F/d)**, you will work hand in hand with your colleagues from the Accounting Team, provide support with accounting-related tasks and be the contact person for internal and external audits.
**Your tasks**:
- You independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements (“main ledger”)
- You work on internal and cross-departmental projects
- You support ongoing accounting tasks
- You check and post incoming invoices and other business transactions
- You prepare reports and analyses and deal with ad hoc enquiries
- You are the contact person for external and internal auditor enquiries
**That's what you bring along**:
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship or training as an Accountant or have an equivalent qualification; the qualification of “Bilanzbuchhalter” is of benefit
- You have several years of experience in accounting, ideally also in Project Management
- You have an affinity for numbers and a meticulous approach to work
- You are familiar with accounting according to HGB and IFRS and have very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office.
- Ideally, you have had your first contact with Navision and have been able to gain knowledge of VAT law.
- You are open, outgoing and enjoy working in a team
- You work independently, are service-oriented and have the will to constantly improve yourself
- You are fluent in German and have a very good command of English
