An M-Ventures funded biotech start-up is poised to seize the opportunity at the intersection between the Healthcare and Life Science Divisions. **Your Role**:
As one of the first lab members of the stealth startup leadership team, you will drive a state-of-the-art scientific team designing a cutting-edge lipid nanoparticle (LNP) design platform which will enable the therapeutic delivery of mRNA. Reporting to the Director of LNP Formulations, you will be responsible for the success and growth of the team.

Responsibilities include:

- Enable rapid high throughput screening platform of lipid nanoparticles encapsulating mRNA
- Establish formulation and analytical protocols and hire and train research associates
- Work closely with digital team to integrate biophysical data on formulation and analytics to enable AI/ML prediction models
- Establish procedures in place for excellent notebook maintenance and data capture
- Broader scope includes establishing process sciences and advanced analytical lab for LNPs
- Build and lead a state-of-the-art formulation and analytics team, expanding into process sciences for scale-up of LNPs.

When looking at the ecosystem, the internal collaboration with mRNA/LNP experts and generating best practices for discovery and development of LNPs is key to this role.

**Who You Are**:

- PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or similar field.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in LNP design, formulation and analytics.
- Familiar with working in a corporate setting and willing to work in an agile "startup" environment
- Demonstrated experience in high throughput screening platforms is a plus
- Experience in working in a matrixed organization and multi-functional teams in essential
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, results-driven problem solver with demonstrated flexibility and collaborative working style
- Excellent oral and written communication with experience in presenting to multi-functional teams across organizations
- Willingness to travel
