Rise Open Fan Mechanical Systems Leader

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Turbomachinery integration knowledge of mechanical systems for either the LP or HP module(s) and/or oil systems for rigs and demonstrators
- Ownership or adjacency to ownership of requirements generation and quality for mechanical systems for all rigs and demonstrators.
- Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down.
- Conducts component and product integration. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability.
- Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams. Manages interface between components and execution organizations.
- Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
**Required Qualifications**
- Previous experience with turbofan design and/ or engine development or rig development is strongly desirable
- This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
**Desired Characteristics**
- Knowledge of configuration control process
- Engine assembly and Test execution experience
- Familiarity with GE’s or comparable Engine OEM’s quality system
- Ability to be on site for critical phases of rig engine assembly and test execution
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Prior turbomachinery design or integration experience
