Scope of workpart-time
Weekly hours50 % of standard work hours per week**Responsibilities**:
Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
Specific Duties
- synthesis and functionalization of nanomaterials
- assembly of nanomaterials from nano to bulk scale
- spectroscopy and microscopy of nanomaterials and their assemblies
- operation of a laser-based optical setup and inverted microscope
- potential for theoretical/computational modeling and simulation opportunities
- dissemination of research, writing, mentorship, etc.
**Requirements**:
A university degree in a relevant field.
Excellent written and spoken English. Strong work ethic and capability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in one or more of the following: Colloidal/Physical Chemistry; Theoretical/Computational Studies; Laser-based optical setups; Optical microscopy; Spectroscopic techniques; Colloidal nanoparticle synthesis; Matlab/Python.
