**Summary / Role Purpose**

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for timely, accurate and compliant completion of accounting tasks by the team for AP
- Ensure that accounts payable controls are followed and assists with periodic audits.
- Ensure payments are made in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide effective support in completion of the Bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the reconciling of the accounts payable subledger to general ledger.
- Handle Vendor and Employee expense report inquiries.
- Ensure the proper maintenance, filing and storage of records in case of audits.
- Train new staff as needed.
- Direct assigned tasks.
- Ensure a proper period cut-off: Review & reconciliation of Prepaid expenses and Accrued expenses.
- Ensure that Fixed Assets accounting is proper and accurate.
- Responsible for local entity US GAAP Reporting for AP/FA.
- Responsible for managing the timely and accurate completion of accounting for other smaller entities (in the responsibility region) as per US GAAP Reporting.
- Assist in the VAT reporting of the entities within the region.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual capital and operating expense budgets.
- Maintain statutorily required Accounts & documentation for AP/FA.
- Support and participate in external audits.
- Support Corporate projects.

**Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Training IHK (kaufmönnische Ausbildung IHK) or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role
- Must have strong organization skills and demonstrate an attention to detail
- Must have experience with accounting systems and processes including major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**
- CPA or comparable professional accounting certification.
- Experience with Oracle EBS
