Director of Strategic Initiatives

This is a remote position.
Drive the North America strategic initiatives for the North American vertical teams, with the primary goal of establishing new business opportunities across retail, digital, travel, and financial services verticals. You will be responsible for expanding the North American network while leveraging on the existing pipeline, helping to cultivate through leadership and higher-quality client relationships. Helping both our company and the clients to ideate, negotiate, strategize and execute on business opportunities, leveraging all the products and tools we provide.
**Responsibilities**:
- Cultivate, negotiate, close strategic accounts across various business lines within the company. Supporting existing teams with sales, negotiations, business strategy and relationship management.
- Build up thought leadership both internally and externally via trade shows and conferences
- Work with cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering, legal, compliance, finance) to launch vertical sub segments
- Identify business opportunities across product class and develop strategy proposals
**Requirements**:
- Minimum seven years’ experience, five of which must be selling directly in a technology or payments solution environment.
- 10+ Complex solution selling (i.e., experience selling or delivering software or services that required the end client to realign certain business processes).
- Demonstrated success with large transactions and lengthy sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative, and competitive market.
- Pipeline management and forecasting experience.
- Ability to travel (once Covid crisis is over).
- Financial modeling and contract negotiation experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in English.
